The home stretch
Relaxed morning in Lubbock, then a straight shot south through West Texas. Shorter and less stressful than the old Amarillo route. Return the camper and sleep in your own bed tonight.

No need to rush. Sleep in, grab breakfast at the hotel or hit a local spot before heading out.

The Drive Home¶
Straight shot south on US-84 to I-20, then south on US-281/I-35 into Central Texas. Familiar terrain -- flat, fast, and easy.
Fuel Stop
Abilene -- Love's Travel Stop or Buc-ee's. Right at the midpoint, ~2.5 hours in. Last fill-up before returning the RV.
RV Return¶
Return the Thor Scope in Granger
- Empty the holding tanks before return
- Top off the fuel tank
- Quick walk-through with the owner
- Aim for early-to-mid afternoon arrival
